The importer of this fair trade giraffe has a direct trading policy. They visit the poorer regions of the world, such as; Indonesia, Nepal, Peru and the Amazon in search of quality crafts. Once found they pay a fair price, often making advanced payments to enable craftsman or artist to purchase raw materials. This direct trading policy currently provides well paid regular employment for about 200 families.
